One of the things many players have complained about , is the unfairness of clubs made available to lower tiered players . With players sandbagging ,having high levels and playing from the shorter tees , with a great tee advantage over other players . To resolve this issue , why not make all clubs over level 80+ tiered based  , and all clubs below level 80+ remain as is , which is according to levels.

This , could put fairness back in the game , and leave decent clubs available to all players . What could be done is , take all clubs level 50+ - level 79+ and make available from Master tier and up .All clubs from level 80+ and up become available at Legend tier, with no levels required , since Legends and Tour Legends play from the same tees , there is no tee advantage for either player . This as I feel would reduce sandbagging , give players a reason to play up the tiers , to obtain the top clubs, and return a sense of fairness to the game . I would like other players feed back most definitely , and WGT`s consideration. So lets think out the kinks. Happy Swinging :-)

This suggestion makes too much sense to be casually dismissed.

The biggest  problem, though,  would be how to implement it given the number of people  currently playing at disparate levels.

One obvious benefit would be the "anti-sandbagger" incentive.  If better gear came with tiers, rather than levels, there is no reason to cop 1 short round a day in order to 'level up".

It seems that any change is sure to get somebody's shorts in a twist.

Not really .This is why all clubs level 79+ and below , will remain as is .This will give the lower tiered players good clubs for their tiers. If players get caught between the levels , its no big deal , as all they will have to do is tier up to catch up .Its easier to tier up , than play up the levels .

This is why I suggested to start locking the clubs at tiers , at the Master tier ,which is only 1 tee from Legend / Tour Legend tees . Between Master , and Tour Master , I was at the 80s level , and had the top G20s . When I made Legend , I had the all of the clubs I needed to play from the tips .

I can get the L94+ Rlls driver , if I want too . Yeah , some players may cry foul ,but they did that when the Rlls was moved to level 94 . The world didnt come to an end, and players are still playing to get it .So lets figure this thing out . Happy Swinging :-)

Many games that are deemed "free" are essentially "pay to play".  I've played enough F2P MMOs to know this.  If someone wants to dish out some RL cash, they can get a leg-up early in the game over people that have been around, yet don't pay a red cent.

I'm cheap, and I've been beat by Pros/Tour Pros who have as good or better equipment/balls than I do, and much better tee placement.  It's just how the game works.

    Lonnie,

I think that we are both advocating for the same thing - namely the availability of better preforming clubs based upon Tiers rather than Levels.

Dont you love it ,when great minds come together . To me , it would be fair , and its something that could easily be done. Happy Swinging :-)

As a level 83 legend I could not agree with this more. I cant stand seeing level 90 tour pros that have -14 through 18 holes then magically put up an +14 for the next round, lol... But its WGTs fault or allowing this... Would not be hard to do exactly this...

but sadly... its all about the benjamins and WGT keeps making them... oh well

Making the master tier at level 39, I'm a big advocate of the tier over level approach in club distribution.  I bought 9 level ups to get my R1 driver, but still had the R11 irons from the 30's level.  I rapidly made Tour Master playing with the same clubs and dealt with the R11's until I just couldn't take it any more, so I bought 3 more level ups to get the G20's. Now I'm a level 68 Legend and would upgrade my clubs with the best equipment ... but due to the level based distribution, I've got to employ good course management until I can get the clubs I want.

I personally feel that club distribution should be completely tier based, or at least "tier or level" based.  For example, if you've made Master, you should be able to obtain the 50's levels clubs.  If you've made tour master, you should be able to get all clubs through the 70's levels and if you've made Legend, you should be able to equip your bag with any equipment you choose.

If this does happen, it will probably occur long after I've upgraded my equipment; but I'd still support the tier or level distribution of clubs idea.

Lots of sense spoken here, even if only the top 3 or 4 clubs in each category had tier restrictions it would make a difference.

this makes much more sense than just tier based.

a lot of players just arent good enough to get their average down to whats needed to make legend tier why should they be told they cant have the best equipment just because they arent amongst the best players.

doing it this way would stop the baggers having equipment advantage as well as tee advantage without penalising the recreational players who play often enough but arent top players
