I Hold my Backswing a few seconds.  When I do my CPU usage will drop to about 10%.  And that will eliminate many meter issues.

Best advice I can give is to configure your computer to load Task Manager on boot-up.  This will place a green square on your Tool Bar.  You can visually see your CPU usage on the back swing.  You will see how CPU usage drops when you hold your backswing.

Also, Double Click on the Task Manager green square, and click on the Processes Tab.

Then turn off all unnecessary Programs running in the background.  For example, Google Update, WebCam software, printer software.  There is lots of programs running in the Background you do not need, and turning them off will make for a better golf game.

I agree that CPU usage has an effect on the meter, and it drops significantly from it's initial value. Factors to raise it are choice of club, spin and moving the aim. The last item of influence is WGT's timer limiting the holding time - in itself a necessity to hold the backswing.

On my regular PC (Win7, 6 GB RAM9 it is not necessary to hold the backswing - to wait without action helps a lot, while raising the club has little impact. On an older PC (XP, 1 GB RAM) the rise in itself increases the CPU usage, making a hold inevitable.

It's not only the action on my PC to influence the load, it's also action in my LAN, e.g. a printout on a LAN printer from another PC.
