This is my first post and I just started playing the game this past week. Im trying to figure out how to improve my avg. distance to the pin. Right now im sitting at a 22ft avg and its killing my game. Im at a +3 to a +9 on most of the time. If i could make my avg. smaller I know my score would go down.

What would be the best way to make this happen?

imo at your lvl and with the clubs you use 22 ft is not that bad. Just keep practicing and playing. Read the forums on putting and short game (see sticky's in game tips forum). If you can you could buy some clubs this helps. If you want to use the least money possible wait for lvl 59 and buy the g20 set and your fine until legend.

Also join a active CC this will help a lot

    Good Morning,

well firstly I would get an iron set with a little more precision and higher  trajectory.

If low on finances these would be ideal for the time; I have gifted these to 2 players and they both went on to Tour Pro and above using them. In fact the only High  Trajectory irons in this level  category.

Tour Starter Yellow Iron Set (Steel) (L9+)

    300 Credits

Secondly I would start using WGT balls with at least 1 dot of spin or more to be able to stick the ball upon landing. These are rather  inexpensive but good all around balls. I still use them with my level 59+ G20  irons.

     WGT B-ES Balls

    Starting at 10 Credits

These balls will enhance the amount of spin when you apply backspin to your swing.
I have recently gifted these irons to a friend and he went from Tour Pro to Master using  them. And they are fairly forgiving and with decent precision.
Also don't forget using the dot on your ball for Top spin (adds yardage) back spin ( sticks the ball when used with balls that have spin; but also decreases the yardage- know when to use it) No Spin (in the center- more roll out on landing, but can stop on a dime when using balls that have both spin and feel)
    Hope this helps
And don't forget to look at the replays of some of the top players on here as well. You can learn a lot by watching their shots. My friend Legendcrusher even has a website with all of his replays and golf sessions; you can find that topic as well in the forums.

    +1 RootsRo!

I'm sorry, but your club proposal is a waste of credits IMHO. For a level 27 Amateur it's a short wait to level 32 (12.900 XPs) where the whole set of R11 will be available - much better characteristics.

Custom balls are always difficult for low finances - they "eat" credits at a constant rate.

More important would be two decent short wedges (Ping or better), a one-time spending of great value.

    My 2 Pfennig.

See, that's how long it's been I forgot how fast players advance in levels on here. lol

Your option looks better in the long run Alosso.

Those were gifts to 2 players not out of pocket expenses; so scratch that idea.
