Question is, should I just play rounds that are not ranked until then? or just go ahead and suck it up? Sucking it up will definitely reflect my true average.  Any good advice would be appreciated. Practice rounds maybe? or what?

I find it amazing that nobody has answered your question yet.....lol

Congrats on your Promotion.... the first game in a new Tier is what your Average is.

I hated playing practice rounds myself...   Ranked Rounds and sucked it up for me... the reason for that was, that my Average would stay high until saturation (unless you shoot really low scores)....  then you would have heaps of time to get the hang of the Tier until you get promoted and still have fun

    Congratulations!

You are doing very well.  Might want to think about the L48 R1 - makes it possible to play from the back tees

Embrace TourPro and TourMaster when you get there.  These two tiers are far and away the most fun imo.

Ty.. thought hard about it but since I'm getting the G20 irons next wekk I decided I'd buy the whole set of clubs. I struggled with the R11's and G20 decision but a few pointed out that they are high trajectory which I can see needing them on congressional and BPB, you know the courses with the elevated greens? I just played 3 rounds @ St. andrews and brought it down to 76.87. I think thats decent to work down and really get the hang of this tier.

Another thing that I noticed this morning is it seems the dynamics have change a lot since I leveled up. not just the green speed but like the engine dynamics?

    thanx all

As you move through the Tiers and your Average starts dropping... the game will get harder to play.

Like a rollercoaster ride.....  slow climb to the top where your shooting indifferent scores.. then a fast ride down when your shooting great scores....  average starts to drop, the game will start to get harder to play and process starts again.

to b honest, all u need is a driver that averages about 240-250yards while your tour pro. even better with more yards but at least 240-250. it helped me a lot anyway.

To be honest, no driver at all necessary as a TP. I used a 235 yds 3WD instead, quality shots from the tee plus the same quality shots on the fairway.

BTW: It's not visible to whom you sent your reply.
