Re: blitz freeze after disconnect

     I was shooting one whale of a game when at the last hole 2 players disconnected from the putting blitz. Whenever players do this it freezes the game completely. Even after 30 minutes it would not load the last hole. I really get the short end on this one.

     

     Any reason why the blitz freezes after a player disconnects early?

     I also wanted to mention that I suspect FIREFOX might have something to do with it. Because it's never happened while using chrome, but I don't use chrome nearly as much. I'm certain that if it really has nothing to do with FIREFOX than it must be on the WGT end. I know how to keep my system clean and running smoothly. While using FIREFOX I almost never have any problems with the meter or crashing.

     

     But the BLITZ issue problem is very regular. There is a high percentage of players that will quit the putting challenge before the last hole and quite often it stops the game completely, ruining any score you may have accumulated.

    Hello honkers1,

     

    This issue is really a big mistake. And it doesn't only appear when you play the putting events, all blitz king tracked multiplayer games seem to be affected by this bug. But Firefox as a browser is not necessarily the cause for the wrong behaviour of the game. For my game I use the browser Opera and the gameplay is in general surprisingly smooth, despite of all the commonly disconnections or uncommon error game failure problems in other scenarios dicussed here in this forum.

    What I found a little bit strange is that WGT did not react on your post since you have published it. It's is pretty disappointing when you have to quit a successful game by closing the window or by ending the round via the options tab without having the opportunity to finish the round with the remaining participants as it is possible in other multiplayer formats after one or more players have or have been disconnected from a currently running round. There is functionality for the takeback to the lobby and the countdown for reconnection. In my eyes we deal here with a programming inconsistency - the appropriate sleeve is just missing or in a certain way incomplete. That would prevent the website to work as expected.

    Maybe and hopefully WGT will react on this issue after my post.
