    Hi Samantha,

Copied and pasted from elsewhere in these forums:

When it is equal or smaller than 72 you go from Pro to Tour Pro

you need to play at least 20 ranked rounds as Pro before reaching Tour pro

Playing ranked stroke play CC tournaments (with unlimited play) can certainly help you in bringing your average down (reason for unlimited play is that you can restart the round if your scoring is poor and thus not affecting your average negatively).

    Samantha,

think separately of levels and tiers - they aren't related.

Kelly showed you the conditions of tiering up correctly. One addendum: Play on Par3 and Par5 courses does not count in.

Plus, a minor correction: poor scores do not affect the average once the minimum number of scores has been played, and it has no negative effect on tiering up.

Please allow for some open remarks regarding your progress. You have been playing about 70 rounds as a Pro now through one month, and while the first scores and average were 76es, your average has only moved to 74.6. Frankly spoken, this is stagnation.

Do you have an idea why it is this way?

It might be one or more aspects of the game, hitting the ding with driver and irons, short game to the green, putting... Do you need special help in any of these?

There are a few buying tips if you want to spend some credits/money:

    - two short wedges (e.g. Ping for 200 crs each) to improve the short game,

    - cheap custom balls (e.g. WGT B-ES or Tour SD) to slow down the meter and to improve overall precision.

These help a lot but aren't essential.

    Have fun!

    Hi Samantha,

I think this may help..Don't hold too much by it as WGT can, and sometimes do, put you on the next tier for no other reason than maybe beating a higher tier in a ranked game..

    Rank Rounds Average

                     Rounds needed         Average needed

    Hack                     0                                   0

    Amateur               5                                100

    Pro                      10                                  80

    Tour Pro             20                                 72

    Master                30                                 67

    Tour Master      40                                  63

    Legend             50                                   61

You must be below the listed average to move up a tier.

They must be Ranked Rounds played

An addendum to the above post....

During the Ranked Rounds needed you average will fluctuate up and down according to your scores until you have the required amount.. Once you have the required amount your average will only go down.....

yep , so for those keeping score until 500 rounds as legends , remember these do not count.

    I am now guessing,

    mel1950:
    Legend             50                                   61

    Add

    Tour Legend       500                                   60

And yes, Par3 and Par5 scores do not count to any number of those.

The "needed number" is also the "max number of best scores" to count for the average. After that, the average comes to "saturation", meaning that better scores replace higher scores, resulting in the "will no longer go up" situation.

And, both numbers reset on tier change, explaining higher tiers with higher averages.
