I am sure that most people have suffered the intermittent failure of the swing meter to register the final click, or where the shading goes rifgt rather than left.

Since I installed Shotpal one or other happens on about 50% of my swings, indeed sometimes it may misfire up to four times on one shot. I have been offered a refund by Admin, which although good CR does not actually solve my problem on a very useful accessory.

Can anyone in the community help?

    Thanks

Try this - http://vgg.4fan.cz       Used to be called WGT caddy but the legal-beagles got their lawsuits in a twist    lol.

Built by a WGT member, it WORKS, it combines BOTH 'putter pal' and 'shot pal', is so simple even I can use it, and  best of all it NEVER 'runs out' so you have to spend more credits, just a one-off $3 and you're done.

And if, like me, you're not very computer-savey, the 'builder' is very approachable (I just sent a 'friend' request which he acknowledged that day)  and he will help you sort any issues.

A chopped down post-it note works wonders and you can put the marks anywhere that you want.

If you use the original meter then you have sort of a free shot pal. Just spend 10 credits for 20 shots and find the percentages. The first O in original is 90% and it is fairly easy to map out the rest.

But your problem sounds more like a flash problem caused by the new flash update from this past week rather than something caused by shot pal.

Yep. I used a paper, stuck to my display, Putter Pal for a long time.

But I have been using VGG Caddy since it was version 3.1.

VGG Caddy Pro was recently upgraded to 5.0, and now includes a simple notebook you can display on the screen.

Did you try this one called ShotHelper? It's both for putting and regular shots and works really well for me. Look it up at www.teslagon.com/shothelper. There is a demo version and full version available. Very flexible and can  be configured for any club set / putter.

That is all the same for the product I mentioned, which only has to be paid for once, and includes a notepad feature for keeping course notes.
