  Yes many players gave me help, on the course and in the forums to aid my progression. For that reason I will also play with any tiers, but as Andy said, a lot of players will run when they see Legend or above. The smart players who are willing to learn stay - and these players I will help in any I can.

  This is a great game and it becomes even better when you understand what you are doing. I too have  gifted  equipment to newer players in the hope they get as much out of the game as it has given me.

  I agree ... great post,

  When I started playing WGT, I went searching for the higher tiers in Match Play games ... and I received gifts along the way from a few.  It is sad to find so many lower tier players that scamper away when they see you're a legend.  I've gifted clubs, balls, etc. to several lower players and still do, but as Andy pointed out, there aren't too many that will play with Legends and Tour Legends.  Once in a blue moon I'll get to play an entire game with a lower tier player I've yet to play with.

  If you wish to learn the game, play with us and ask questions.  There are so many legend and tour legend players on here that are willing to help you with your game.  Who knows, you just might find a new club in your bag afterwards!

  Katty pretty much summed it up. The large percentage of higher tier players on here just enjoy playing the game. They will offer advice without asking for it. That is who they are, they enjoy the new players and are more than willing to help you out. I admit there are some who don't fit this description. If you have a bad experience with a Legend or a Tour Legend, you found the exception, not the rule. I enjoy every single round with these people and we have a lot of fun. It is not really an honor playing with me, but it sure is with many of these ladies and gents. Don't pass up your chance. If you join a game and see some of the top names, go for it. You will truly enjoy it, trust me.

  I enjoy playing members of higher tiers. Many lesson to be learned and a vast amount of enjoyment to be had !! Winning isn't everything !! The joy of the game is far more rewarding. Of course winning against a legend is fun too , but playing your best should always be your goal. Play often - have fun !!
