IMO, you'd be turning this into an arcade game of sorts. It's like expecting to be able to hit the ball dead center on one specific groove in a club. C'mon.

Nevermind Jim's crabbiness, all.  He choked, um I mean, lost a tough match play to yours truly the other day.  ;)

Pffft. Horse around match that important, huh? Put some credits up and we'll see how long it lasts.

One of the things I really like about the Callaway ball, the placement of the logo for judging spin.

I wouldn't buy the spin pal ever, just use the markings on whichever ball you use to have a reference point.  I would use it though if it was given to clubs at certain levels like shot/putter pal.

    :)

I'd use it when the real game has something like it.  :-)

Just do away with the dot all together and add stance adjustments.  Or, want full spin, hit full power.  Want to take off some spin, club up and hit with less power.

This would be simple to do, too. Just replace the ball with a stance that moves the same way the dot does now. Instead of the dot, have feet with ball centered between them. Where the ball is in your stance makes all the difference in the world and this change would really lend some realism to the game.
