I have never seen a course that has OB between the tee and green. Players are penalized stroke and distance when this should be a lateral. Players are carding 10s when they should probably have 6s. A drop should be given straight back from the entry point at the very least. And, because these hazards run perpendicular to the hole, the best drop is frequently in the end of that portion of the fairway.
