I played a foursome tonight and one player, JERSEYPHIL, stopped playing and the clock ran down, 3 times, then the other players decided not to wait and left the game.  I waited to continue the game by myself after JERSEYPHIL was finally ejected from the game. To my surprise, at the end of the game the winner was declared as JERSEYPHIL.

    How was this possible?

I took a screen capture if you need to see the final score.

In stroke play the game counts how many hits each player had. In the case of the first quitter, he hit the ball the least amount of times. Yes I know it makes no sense but that's the way the game is programmed.

As far as winning a stroke play round, that really doesn't happen. There's no record kept of multi-player stroke play "wins".  The players are simply playing concurrently on the course. Each, if completed, will have a record of a stroke play round in their  games history but no record of beating each other. It's like playing a round IRL somewhere and you're paired with strangers. You're not really competing for a win against each other just playing out your individual rounds together.

Yet the other two players who disconnected were not counted.  Only JERSEYPHIL who was tossed from the game for not playing was in the final screen as the winner ... Yes, It makes absolutely no sense!

You'd do better and get less backlash if you just contact WGT directly with any issues you have regarding the activity of another player.
