I've had both and believe the 's' is less twitchy off tee and when you shade the ding.

I also prefer the 's' for its ability to punch from deep doo-doo really well.

The differences aren't huge but they are noticeable, like others have said, wait until a new one arrives. Better that than forking out creds then kicking yourself for missing out on an even better one.

    but if I miss it
even by a little bit towards the wind, it's 10-20 yards off (depending on wind speed).

I'm assuming towards the wind means on the wrong side of the ding. Please correct me if I'm wrong there. If that's the case, missing on the wrong side of the ding is instant death-you get all of the wind and right now, forgiveness or no forgiveness.

    yes that's what I meant lol :)
but missing on the wrong side of the ding is NOT instant death
on the R1 (and the MAX 3W or at least it wasn't when I tried it
back when there was that rent free weekend a while ago).
MAX 3W and R1 driver do get effected when you miss it on the "wrong side",
but at a much MUCH more forgiving manner, unlike R11 irons, and R11S 3W,
at least that's how I experience them.

IMO the biggest difference between the R11s and the R11 is the S definitely stops better -  I can spray shots with either one but when i do my part it may be the 2nd most valuable club in the bag playing from the tips (gotta love the 64 degree wedge of your choice as #1).
