On this day 20 years ago, Formula 1 lost a legend and quite possibly the greatest driver of all time.

The truth will never be known as to what really happened that fateful day, all I can say is that he was my hero then and remains my biggest sporting hero to this day.

    R.I.P Ayrton..

Wow, 20 years have already passed?

While I agree that Senna was probably the greatest driver ever and his death was a tragedy in the true sense of the word, I do find it sad that Roland Ratzenberger's death on the same weekend has hardly ever been mentioned.  I'm not knocking you Lizard, please don't take this the wrong way.

Rest in peace, both of you.

I agree, was a black weekend for the sport.

I thought it amazing that Senna had Ratzenberger's flag with him in the car which he planned to wave after the race, he didn't get the chance.

    Sad day/weekend for sure..

    RIP both!
