Forgive me if I am wrong but I thought a Sand Save was making par or  better after any shot from the sand regardless whether it is a bunker or other sand area. I have checked after several rounds in my game stats for that round to see that my Sand Save % for that round is listed as 0 even though I made a birdie and several pars after playing a round at Kiawah.

Hi Jeeps. I think it only counts sand to green. In could be wrong though, some of those stats are weird. I know in real life that Kiawah claims that it has no bunkers but I doubt that is relevant.

AFAIK, a sand save in WGTland is any Par after a shot from a bunker, regardless of the # of strokes in between. Shots from other sandy areas (wasteland) on the course do not qualify.

And, while Kiawah in SC, USA now has no more official bunkers, our KIA has them, e.g. two of them at green #17.

KIA and PIN have both bunkers and wasteland, thus it depends where you hit to.
