    ISH47:

I use ONLY the free balls for practice rounds.. In every other instance, when I'm using the L34 callaway, I'm VERY cautious.

I do it differently.  I almost never play a practice round, as in not ranked, unless I want to play uneven lies.  When I play for fun I still use my regular L33 Cally, if I play anything else I figure I'm not learning anything.  I need to know how a shot works out with the ball I'll be using when that shot really counts.

I appreciate 250 credits per sleeve for knocking around is too much for some though, each to their own of course.

I think that would be more than fair. It is obvious that WGT has it set up like it does so people spend more money.

I appreciate the candid honesty, however, not being one to spend real money on a virtual golf game, I have bought balls with free, earned credits. What I was saying in my initial post was that I haven't been able to save up enough credits for a better driver/irons because I see it beneficial to at least give yourself a cheaper advantage by going with an upgraded ball. Now, I have lost probably close to 3 sleeves total out-of-bounds. If I had those back I would be close to having enough to buy nicer clubs. By the way, what does the Callaway balls I use being available at level 33 have to do with anything? They are just about the cheapest balls you can buy.

It's pretty rare for me to lose a ball.  I always say "it's better to lose the hole than lose the ball".  And I use balls that cost 64 credits per sleeve.  Shows how cheap I am.

Frankly I rarely lose a ball on WGT but if I hit it out of bounds on here I expect to lose the ball, that is the rules the game has set up.  In terms of real golf, if I bound a ball 25 yards right out of bounds, I'm not going to look for it.

I'm heard all the arguments on here about being able to retrieve a ball that is in a pond, a burn at St Andrews, etc. is it really that important to you and worth WGT changing their programming.   We all know the rules and if you hit a ball in the water, creek, hazard, out of bounds you lose your ball, just move on.

If you are worried about cost the white balls are free.

WGT is in business to make money.

Have you ever thought about how much WGT may have to pay out every month to stay in business - like payroll and benefits for some 50 employees, other office expenses, and access to the Internet. There are indications WGT pays Datapipe for servers and access.

As mentioned - we do not have to pay greens fees and we get to play premium golf courses.

We can choose to not buy clubs or balls too. There are WGT players that have respectable scoring averages that use the free clubs and ball.
