It is totally understandable to lose a ball when you hit it in the water, however, when you hit the ball out-of-bounds I feel I speak for many players on WGT when I say it is not fair to lose a ball. Realistically, many players retrieve their balls when they hit it out of bounds and it should be the same on WGT, especially when you have to pay for upgraded balls. I have only been playing on here 2 months or so and have lost many (bought with credits) balls because of this and feel this isn't right. I have not even been able to buy new clubs because I am constantly buying new balls because of this!

It seems in real life you are right that often the ball is found (or you find some one else's lost ball!) The same thing could be said of hitting the ball in the water - sometimes in real life you can retrieve the ball. What perhaps WGT could do is have a function that randomly, some percentage of the time - 1/5 or 1/3 or whatever - says "Water Hazard," "Out of Bounds" or what have you - "but you managed to retrieve the ball." Then you get whatever penalties you deserve but on those occasions the existing ball would be put back into play. Simple tinkering with the programming - what do you say?

I empathize with you over the losing balls issue, but to be brutally honest, using the level 33 callaways with the starter clubs is a complete waste of credits. You will only get the best out of a good quality ball with good clubs. So I would advise you to go back to the free ball until you get some better clubs.

And, when giving some balls back to us, they might want to make up for this loss of revenue by selling them more expensive in the first place, or, introduce fixed green fees whil we now may decide ourselves how much we pay.

As said before, if ball purchases feel too expensive, just buy cheaper ones or play with Starters.

    Most of all: Have fun!

Real golf costs money. The WGT costs money or time. When I first started I played with lesser quality clubs and balls both here and on the local course. I spent time at the driving range  on the putting green and playing WGT practice rounds. Here I have found that the free balls work quite well. They don't stop on a dime and they don't get that extra yardage that you might need on some holes, but overall I found that the money I saved using the free ball allowed me to put better clubs in my bag. And amazingly, when I did spring for a better ball, I found I had better control over my clubs. Use the free ball and you can learn the shots that work, get better control of your clubs and not fear water or out of bounds. I still use the free ball, especially when I play AS games with strangers.

Still He / They couldn't resist throwing a notorious ball loser in the BO par 4's....

WGT miffed as no possibility of losing one on Pine ?

Sorta seems a waste of aviation fuel no...??

I use ONLY the free balls for practice rounds.. In every other instance, when I'm using the L34 callaway, I'm VERY cautious. I'm still aggressive when I need to be.. but never reckless. Didn't look at your clubs, but using the ones with high forgiveness, for me, is a plus. I've been playing for 3 weeks and I think I might've lost 2-3 balls. You have to remember, WGT is in the business of making money.. I get a LOT of enjoyment out of this game, and to date, haven't spent a dime of my own money. Some areas need improvement, but overall a GREAT game.
