can't play the 18 holes under 70 strokes.

Clear sign of cheating.  Meets every measure!

    MainzMan:

There are some people, and I'm not kidding here, who can't play the 18 holes under 70 strokes.

They must be playing with their eyes closed.

I figured it was time we had one calling the crap players....... well...... crap.

They don't birdie and eagle every hole, thats a joke.

I bet they would if they had, 1. Moving dots on the green, 2. Wind strength and direction guage, 3. a strength and ding meter.

4510 posts. Are you kidding me??

    4,512 actually.  For now anyway.

    Yakky34:

The point is not being critical of people who shoot low scores. Good for them.

Really?  Sure doesn't sound that way:

    Yakky34:

Seriously, the cut is 57?? That is a joke. Are they playing a scramble…?

Remember it's unlimited play, you can go again and again and again ad infinitum.  And if you're any good you'll eventually get a good score.  If you're really good you'll do it within a few rounds.

    Yakky34:

But the people who LIVE on here take it personally

There you go again, more insults.  I spend about 2-3 hours a day on WGT, usually mornings and evenings.  I've averaged about 1.5 rounds per day since I started and spend the rest of the time on the forums.  How much time do you spend on the crapper per day?   Would you say you live there?

As to taking it personally, wouldn't you if someone posted on your wall that you're a cheat?  It's never happened to me, I'm not that good but I know a few who have experienced it.

@MM - did you try with Starters?

Not yet but I will.  There's gonna be some very tough holes out there.

I know you didn't ask me, but mine is directly proportional to how difficult the morning crossword is;)

That reminded me of the constipated mathematician -

FYI all: a few of us have been posting our attempts in this thread at trying to "play the 18 holes under 70 strokes" ... and yes, we've been using full Starters.

Actually, the course plays fantastic with this setup. To my mind, the difficulty level best meets architect Donald Ross' intention with the crowned greens, which become truly hard to hit and hold using these old 'hickories.' There's only one fairway that you can't reach without a tailwind (#12), and there are even a few birdie possibilities alongside the very tough holes.

To date, the closest any of us has come has been a super round by Rock, who shot 71.

Anyone else up for the challenge?
