Another good WGT ball is the Tour GI-S ball. 1 dot distance 2 dots spin 1 dot feel. At 82 credits for Light blue up to 94 credits for gold they won't break the bank either. The only real problem might be the low 1 dot of durability.

The Tour-SD is a fine ball, and Matt has shown once again that he's one of the special ones here...good on yer, Matt!

Yes, a very good choice. The spin and distance combination means they go pretty much the stated distance of the irons when using full backspin. It makes them very easy to get the hang of. And they match the characteristics of the cheaper promo balls that WGT give away for things like St Patrick's day.

If I start down this path of buying balls, am I going to be able to sustain it without dishing out significant amounts of money?

What is "significant" to you, money-wise? $10 a month buys a lot of decent balls. The Tour-SD ball is a great deal (15 sleeves for less than that $10) and you won't have to adjust to the meter since you're already used to it. It was my fav for a long time and gives you enough spin and distance to make a difference.

I feel your pain - but I manage with what I have.

Just wait until you start playing all these guys with buckets of XIs.  It's a good feeling - like slamming your junk in a car door.

We don't know how much you will play and how much you might spend, but it's a low-cost pastime IMHO. 150 games (at 6 crs) for 10 $ last longer than a movie in the cinema or a dinner date.

Thanks all for the thoughts! I'm trying to stay away from offers because of my work situation right now, but I might end up going that route.

Offers for free credits? Take care, there's broken promises, difficulties and disappointment lurking. And, frequently, you have to spend your good money.

More expensive than a McDonalds cheeseburger and a Redbox movie.  Nothing's too good for my girl.
