  has anything been changed recently regarding greens and putting?

  my putts seem to not break or break twice as hard as usual, and putts dont take the intended line anymore - they tend to leap off the putter surface and squirt random directions?

  i have the lvl 96 putter which i thought was a good one.

  i misding my putts and while it seemed to work before, now theyre going all over the place.

  so has forgiveness in putters been altered or other attributes changed but not mentioned?

  its frustrating to see perfectly hit putts veer like theyre drunk or break when theres no break etc

  and ive been noticing A LOT more of these recently.

  i have been getting that and more for the last few months.havent said anything,been waiting to see if anyone else was getting the same.it has been mainly birdie putts.putts that just dont take any break no matter how slow they are.ding putts no break missing the hole upto a ft lip the cup,come up short,dont take break,take to much break.i have even had putts roll right over the middle of the hole and stop on the back lip. all birdie putts.

  Have to agree with u T noticing the same thing, in fact I posted a thread on forgiveness, and was told that forgiveness has nothing to do with forgiving but how much the shot loses when you miss the ding.

  Does anyone know if Webster changed the definition on the word "  forgive"

  When you miss the ding by just a little bit with a high precision putter like the OP uses (I do too) you aren't "forgiven," your shot just suffers from missing the ding by sliding by or lipping out. How many times have you seen a putt miss by about the same amount you missed the ding by when you're trying to ding it?

  Steering a putt by missing the ding with a high level putter is difficult because it takes more of a miss to make a difference and then you bring deviation into play. Players that do putt this way have figured this out and compensate for the distance loss with strength of swing and aim adjustment.

  @Won-How can you perfectly miss?

  for a miss ding putter u can tell its perfectly hit after hitting the same putt thousands of times.

  dont know how else to describe it but that u see the putt and hit it - and they normally go in, now the same putts hit identically will veer off in ways i havent seen before.

  i looked at my profile and ive had over 90 000 putts - i have a fair idea where they are going most of the time - or so i thought till recently. almost coincided with wgt removing the dots on the greens on the downswing, altho i have no idea if that is contributing to it or not.

  just thought i would find out if anyone else noticed this.

  Then why not put 0% forgiveness with these putters. Also the way it is explained wouldn't that be more shot shaping ? I know putters have no shot shaping

  In answer to your question , it is not that hard with a % scale tapped under the meter scale. I am just not skilled enough to know how  much % to miss by....:)

  No conspiracy theories or the slightest guess on my part. I do know that something has changed for sure with the putting. I have had way too many straight 4 footers, dinged and they have broke like they were on a 45 degree slope. I have had dots moving like crazy, I will aim to compensate and the putt goes straight as an arrow. Even I am not that bad, or maybe I am.

  WGTAdmin pointed out that missing the ding on the green will hurt and it does, especially if one is a ding putter, which I am. Miss the ding and anything goes. You happen to be one of those players that has figured out what I pointed out above but you're walking the edge. And when WGT tweaks whatever they tweak to make the game harder, you can bet missing the ding will hurt more some times than others and definitely not be consistent.
