We paid to buy them, they're in our bag

    Wrong, twice, I'm afraid.

You paid for a license of limited use, and only one type is in your bag. The others are in your garag^Winventory.

It may be better to accept the way it is as "green fee" payment - the amount (ball price) being our choice. I like it!

I am not, but would that matter?

Both lawyers and me publish their opinions. Legal facts are only created by judges and courts.

    Strictly speaking, no.

Their opinion is represented by the game, and usually we consent by playing it.

You may challenge it by legal action, however hard that might be from your place.

    You surprise me ;)

I see it as a business relation, matter-of-factly most of the time. Many emotions can be avoided.

    MichaelStroke:

People should be thankful that WGT allows you to purchase additional balls of the type you're currently using when you're down to the last one in your bag.

Seriously, this subject is one of the deadest horses that still gets beaten.  Why, dammit.  Why.

Why ? I can only guess. Perhaps just the thought of spending half a day in the "peanut lab" is too depressing. Or, seeing the red "low ball life" warning line at that critical beginning of an "important round" (ha) and rolling the dice, crapping out and getting stuck with a "free" ball with two holes to go, and laying blame on wgt because the Srixon likewise crapped out. But, I'm just guessing.

Don't forget the new courses. Shoot the pictures (300,000?), measure the greens, process the pictures (six months?), put a course together - it's not a free lunch.

That price was around $250,000 close to 4 years ago. It's probably doubled or even tripled since then.
