Re: Add ability to delete balls from inventory

  For those who are irritated by the growing collection of various balls that are now in inventory and will never be used, how about adding a delete key with confirmation screens that allows the player to remove them.

  A little simpler than having to select them, starting some type of a game and whacking them out of bounds or in the water. It might slow down some of the complaints about not only the clutter but some of the complaints about the starter ball substitution. The last of a ball type that only had partial use left could simply be taken out of the game.

  Personally I kind of enjoy reviewing my growing collection of logo balls but I know that type of thing doesn't interest most players. Let them get rid of them more easily.

  I've seen the pics on Srellim page. That's a nice way to show your badge of honour. Then, from time to time, why don't you sink them all in a pond, do some exercise against the cars in St. Andrews' or trying to break a country house's window?

  why throw them out? a ball is a ball...ill gladly take em :-)

  Icon...I'd prefer to gift them if possible...could also (if gifted) prompt players to buy better balls...

   

  Say I gifted 3 GIS2 promotion balls to a player using starter balls, that player might see the benefit of premium balls and purchase like kind in the future.

  I realize this is an older post and may not be seen, but going to through another idea out there. Like srellim234, I kind of enjoy reviewing my collection of logo balls and even bought some Team Europe balls back in 2012 just to have. However with my increasing collection it has created much clutter as srellim234 has put it, making it very unlikely I will purchase any other logo balls that I do not have.

  What I think would be cool would be if a person could not only delete unwanted balls, but the ability to move from inventory to a display/rack of some sort for yourself and friends to view. Kind of like a "Ball Display/Rack" feature or accessory. Some logo balls I only have one of so moving one to the display would remove it from my inventory. Others I have more then one so after putting one on display I may still need to delete or play with in order to clear them from my inventory. As far as I'm concerned it could be a permanent move so once put on display you would not be able to put back into inventory, but others may like the ability to take back and fourth. With the ability to go back and fourth, if you have more then one logo ball you could put them all on display, then if decide want to use could move back to inventory for use. Thus one may not have to delete the excess balls after all.

  When I go to my own or friends profile there is a button to view equipment (between the appearance and score history buttons). One could put the ball rack feature in there. In my own just put between the sell and edit button. My friends have no buttons so all have to do is add one to access those balls he/she has chosen to put on display.

  I realize this feature wouldn not have a lot to do with the actual game itself, but think it would be cool. I have known many golf enthusiast who have ball collections they like to show off. Be kind of nice to be able to do it myself.  kc

  I agree. Someone at WGT could design a ball display rack and sell it in the Pro Shop as an accessory. Balls transferred to the ball rack for display would then be moved to a category of inactive inventory, not available in the inventory selection screen. WGT sees some sort of financial gain through rack sales and a very small gain in sales of logo balls that are only intended for display, not use. There are a few of us that are logo collectors out here.

  Best of both worlds. With the new method of deleting balls just implemented, people who want to get rid of the balls can do so easily. Collectors can still do so while getting the clutter out of active inventory.
