It's been discussed many times of late, but it's still relevant. I don't think it needs to be a 290-300yd club as mentioned in last year's posts, but a 285yd club combined with the legend ball would potentially reduce the disparity between tee boxes by an additional 5 yds which would still be welcomed...and appropriate IMO. Consider the current R9 and R11 go considerably farther than their advertised distances of 280 and 282 respectively, so a 280yd legend-only club unlocked at level 64 or so and a 285yd version unlocked at level 85 or so would be really cool.

    Potential candidates:

Legend only version of our existing R11

    Callaway Razr (Legend-only)

    Diablo (Legend-only)

This thread is over a year old too btw. Just saying

Myself, I do not want a better club for Legends.  What I want is the clubs we currently have limited by tier, with the R11, the new Ghost Spider, the Tour Burner 2.0 and others being classified as Legend tier Only.

Well , if they decide to, should be quite easy , as this is how it used to be before the tier system was introduced. The R-9 tp Master 8.5 and the Master G-10's seemed to be the "popular choice" for new masters back then.  I'm with you on this JaLaBar. I  didn't see that anything that was broken to fix. Additional tiers could have been introduced without a "leveling for equipment" system which undoubtedly , baggers are taking advantage of. I don't generally address baggers (those without class and game) , but real golfers tee it up at sunrise , putt out at sunset , and take no short cuts...unless it's  "over"  a canopy of tree's. If you'd manipulate something on a virtual course , you'd do the same on a real one , and probably your own Mother. No respect for any of you !

I think WGT needs to start making Titleist clubs in this game! I would def. buy them!!! I play titleist irons, wedges, and 3 wood then i play the R11 driver and rossa putter and would love to see me have the same bag of clubs as I do in real life! I just think titleist should deserve to have clubs on here! Oh and titleist golf balls.

Illogical and clearly bad for business for WGT.

Illogical because I can use any kind of clubs in real golf regardless of my skill. If I have the cash and connections I can play the same clubs as PGA pros.

Bad for business for WGT because they would sell less clubs and there wouldn't be a way for "less good" players to help their scores by getting better gear.

Personally I couldn't care less about sandbaggers. They can't play strokeplay tourneys forever since they will be Legends eventually and so what if they bottomfeed in altshot and matchplay ? I think it's more important to keep options open for those who are less skilled and want to get that extra help from gear available.

(Note: I made Legend playing G10s, so I am not defending this due to personal reasons :P )

This was the argument back when clubs were tier specific. The way it is today is ostensibly the result of that discussion (or was in WGT plans to begin with.) The problem the change created was that the better clubs, in the hands of the lower tiered players, created an imbalance with no incentive to move on.

I disagree. As it is now, level up and you can buy what you want. Tier specific clubs would limit what you could buy and tiering up would create sales of the upper level clubs, unavailable until the specific tier was attained. That doesn't happen now because the clubs can be had just by playing enough.

While the argument is valid that you can buy anything the pros buy, the difference in your hands versus the pro's hands would be quite large. In this game, simulating reality, I would think that making tier specific clubs would balance out that difference.

You still miss the two base points Jim.

You will tier up if you want to participate in tourneys (not counting CTTH) and if you don't want to play tourneys then who the heck cares what clubs you play ?

Tierspecific clubs is good for low level players who tier up "too fast" (but they need to be non-levelrestricted then, like they used to). It's not good to block out players who need them to be competetive at their current tier.
