    Hello Folks.

I know that one could be another thread for the same issue but call this one out of bound looks like a joke. Ball bounce inside the fairway then disappear with the out of bound message.

Lost another fresh ball and lost my chance to take a good place in the ready go event so the question is easy as like the years passed since the first call of this issue, is there any chance to fix that damn side of the link.

    Thank you for reading.

    David.

Ouch - it's hard to see it disappear while rolling...

WGT's OOBs are "inside the ropes", too. A general hint is given by the mini-map - out of that is OOB more of less, most of the time. At STA#7, it's true for the bail-out area all left, and there's OAK#4...

    It's not a bug, it's a feature from the beginning (I suppose).

    Paul, my friend.
Even if those are features from the beginning they should be fix soon.

This hole is one of the most beutiful on St Andrews and to be beautiful it must be perfect. Players can't feel the pain while swing to approach the 2nd f/w to the green but strong enough to think how close the birdie with a good wind help.

    Just a consideration.

Me thinks that they simply do not have the pictures for shots from the extreme left. It's a limitation of the virtual game, like some others.

It is as it is, and it's a beauty nevertheless, IMHO.

Take it as a man ;)

I've only been playing for about 8 months, but I've seen comments about the OOB areas.

Andyson, who has a lot of knowledge on different aspects of WGT (IMO) has mentioned about ".. The mini-map border is normally the OOB boundary. "  (* see link below)

When I look at the min map during the replay it looks like the ball lands just at the edge of the map, maybe even beyond it ** a tiny bit, then it rolls some more.

The ball is visible on the main play screen but that looks like it is very close to the suggested 'Out Of Bounds' area, as shown on the mini map.

    **

I'm not sure if the animation is able to show a ball go BEYOND the mini map, etc. so it could be it went outside, and past the map's edge, but the animation shows it right on the very edge of the mini map. (which, still, in itself, is a very close call)

Naturally, David, I know what you mean because I can see the ball clearly.

Fact is, when the ball disappears in the main window, it's gone for good and deemed OOB. The mini map is only a rough indicator because the ball sometimes lands outside and is still playable - e.g. BPB #6, in the dogleg's knee.

Agree with both comments indeed but Paul said it right when compare the map with camera view where the ball disappear after landing on the fairway. That's the main issue, personal think, and that's would be the work for the WGT engineers which have to "make available" even this part of fairway.

Honestly, the replay seems obvious but I can even understand there are some limits to respect while playing in a golf course link, keep honestly this one didn't have to call out of bound.

No metter, once again I will pay attention next time walk at St Andrews.

    Thank you all guys.

    Back again.

Well, this time it's just to share a new replay, a good replay can show that this issue maybe is done, solverd, finally. Different from the replay up above, this one as the same conditions, aim and shot with my 215yds iron3 and, even if the ball bounced and run away (thought to miss this one) it stops just over it "usually" lost and marked as "out of bounds" and as you can see we are perfectly alligned in the left f/w, and that's a real good line to approach.

So, is this bug fixed or it's just fortuity.

I made screenshots from both, cam 3 towards the green.

    The OOB shot:

The good shot before it turned right:

It's different conditions and outcome ;)

    1) One is from STA, the other from newer Bo5 - a hypothetical difference,

    2) though pretty similar, the views are not identical. From the house and the gorse at the right we can see that the second one is a few paces closer to the green.

    3) the second, good shot is probably further left but rolls to the right at the end (after the screenshot), while the other stays straight,

    4) and most decisively, on the mini map, the OOB shot looks like a few yards longer, closer to the rough. This may be the difference sealing it's termination.

So I was just lucky, right Paul. Let's say I'm very rough in my opinion but rebounded as it did make me really believed that was called out of bounds. Holy saved ball.

I want to think that they add to this link some yards more, approach the green from that position and with the wind it was really great because I closed 1 feet birdie.
