    Ode to WGT

So I found this golf game while surfing on-line
free to play, takes only my time
so I signed up and started hitting my 3 wood
in no time at all I found I wan't very good.

I practice and play both day and night
my wife's getting worried- says I look a fright
still I can't stop and I hear her say
you can't sink that putt, put that game away.

I look at her wounded-her words have hurt
she says it's been nine days since I changed my shirt
I stare at her bewildered- with nothing to say
as soon as she goes to work I can log in and play.

I advance all the way up to Tour Pro
still driving the ball but not putting for dough
I visit the forums- sometimes I'm there all night
there seems to be no way of getting off of this site.

This game bit me hard it is by far the best
golf simulation in the east or the west
the members online are the best I've met yet
the finest community on the internet!

So now I will leave you- but not in the lurch
I'm off to St. Andrews its my kinda church
the fescue all around me and the wind at my back,
this game is addicting it's internet crack.

Great piece! Took me right back to May of 2009 only it was BPB or Kia then.    ;-)

    May I please add a line -

        Interesting analogy, "Virtual Crack".

    A++ prose, my creative Friend!

I nominate you for the esteemed Position of "WGT Poet Laureate"

    ALL in Favor.....

(Wait, maybe not a good idea.  the WGT withholding taxes on the position would probably deplete your cash flow so sharply, you could no longer afford "Virtual Crack")

(UNLESS... you Steal St. Andrews Collection box!)

(No...wait again. Another bad idea. The WGT Tax Rate on unearned income is Higher than the government charges for winning a $200 Million dollar lottery drawing.)
