Yes this will vary from club to club. I think all owners are realistic that you will not play in every tournament as life must go on lol.
But I would assume most clubs expect the members to play a minimum of between 1 per week to 1 per month. Again ask the owner, But as most CC's will have Tourneys running most of the time, it comes down to reasonable expectations.
Some players are inactive, but al lot of owners (rightly so) will not kick them out provided they are long serving members and when on WGT, they will participate in the CC events.
As for privacy, that is up to you, and personally you should be sensible and prudent - it is the internet! But after time, you virtual friends can become real friends, but this takes time, trust and common-sense,
