    ApexPC:

Only 1 make/model of the balls in your 'inventory' can be equipped (in the bag) per round.

As alosso alludes to the balls not in your bag are like spare balls at home you did not bring with you to the golf course

    2. The playing characteristics of that 1 equipped ball gets plugged into the game program at the beginning of a round. .

True that you can only have one make/model of balls equipped in bag per round, however not all WGT members are the same and like to buy several sleeves of the same make/model at any given time. Sometimes us WGT members that don't necessarily purchase as much as those with the means to do so go for options within their price range which means that they may not necessarily purchase the  same make/model ball as they normally would have.

My proposition would allow a WGT member to have 3 makes/models available to use in non tournament rounds.

Tell me what average player would go out and play a round of golf with one sleeve (3 balls) and not have a backup should they have a bad round not all of us are reaching for perfection we do enjoy playing golf for fun.

    ApexPC:

    3. A lot of the play on WGT is tournament golf and tournament committees have the option of invoking a local Condition of the Competition known as the One Ball Condition that requires players to use the same brand and type of golf ball throughout the stipulated round.

WGT uses a scoring average rather than a handicap which essentially makes all play (except practice mode) the same as it is for professional golfers. The One Ball Condition is routinely used for professional golf.

I understand that tournament golf is a different level of golfing, as with most tournaments they have limits and restrictions so the One Ball Condition that you refer to here is a valid point. I do not aim to detract from the expectations that are required from those that really thrive on competition and want to be at the top of the leader board.

Hence the change that i request is not for those that want to compete with the elite in the many online tournaments that are available, more so for those that enjoy playing non tournament ranked or practice rounds that just want to really enjoy this game for what it is worth.

They should just disqualify people that run out. They'd soon learn to start with enough or buy during the round.

Thanks for your feedback, however i fail to see the business sense in your comment.

The idea of my proposal for this change is to stimulate those in the WGT community to create opportunity for them to spend their money. Also to allow the WGT community to have more options when playing non tournament ranked or practice games.

The opportunity for a WGT member to select another type of ball (which they have already paid for)  or to carry on with the standard ball, presents WGT members with an opportunity to purchase and have equipped 3 different makes/models so that in the case of a bad round they have a couple of options to choose from should they run out of their first equipped item. Rather than being lumped with the standard ball without any option.

Creating more opportunity for the WGT community to spend at the Pro Shop means benifits that will make this game better than what it already is. Times are tough and although sometimes there are not that bigger spenders in the Pro Shop although the dollar amount for the transaction may be low when you give the WGT community the opportunity to have options you will find that WGT members will spend more often on what they can afford.

This change is not just about changing a feature but encourages the wider WGT community to purchase better makes/models of ball which in turn will assist in the improvement of this fantastic game.
