When you have lost your last ball of a specific type or it has been completely used regardless of the fact that you may have other ball's in your equipment that could be used your automatically put back to the standard balls.

I propose a change to this system.

When a ball is taken out of play or is lost and requires replacement, and only when the entire sleeve of a ball type is used, the player should have an option to choose what ball they would like to equip next.

Having a pop up of  "ball selection" of what a player has equipped in their bag and allowing them to select what ball they want and carry on their game, I am sure many of the WGT community would appreciate having this option. (Comment if you feel this is true)

Personally going from a decent ball to the standard ball really screws with my game, you have to instantly adapt to the standard ball which can take a while to do.

I prefer to purchase any of the ball's from the pro shop vs the standard ball and i feel that should i have several different sleeves of ball in my equipment than i would prefer to use those other ball's I've paid for rather than revert back to the standard.

Thanks for hearing me out and if your on board with getting this done please post comments or let us know if it is making an update.

Please see page 2 for reply's to some of the feedback thus far.

    A serious answer:

Only one ball is in your bag, the others are in the "inventory" (vulgo garage). No option, no selection, the offer to buy on the fly is a wee business opportunity to our host.

Only 1 make/model of the balls in your 'inventory' can be equipped (in the bag) per round.

As alosso alludes to the balls not in your bag are like spare balls at home you did not bring with you to the golf course.

    2. The playing characteristics of that 1 equipped ball gets plugged into the game program at the beginning of a round.

    3. A lot of the play on WGT is tournament golf and tournament committees have the option of invoking a local Condition of the Competition known as the One Ball Condition that requires players to use the same brand and type of golf ball throughout the stipulated round.

WGT uses a scoring average rather than a handicap which essentially makes all play (except practice mode) the same as it is for professional golfers. The One Ball Condition is routinely used for professional golf.

They should just disqualify people that run out. They'd soon learn to start with enough or buy during the round.

A business cannot DQ their customers, IMHO.

How do you know? Are you involved in their programming?

They are able to change to Starter characteristics which appears to be no different to other balls, program-wise.

The Starter ball characteristics are apparently a permanent part of the programming making it easy to switch from your equipped ball.

No offence intended, but until you confess to be in their team your opinion will be one between all others ;)
