hi folks
2nd post on this subject, but i will keep trying..i have just become the owner of a new CC
called over 60s fun flappers..the emphasis on fun..this type of game can get way too serious at times , but we hope to move up the rankings and there will be competitive events with very decent added prizes, .
a few of my friends and family have joined. although i hope to attract members of all levels and ages hence the title...there are many great tour legends and elite players out there, whom post scores lower than the distance in yards i am able to walk..[ am disabled ]., but there is plenty of clubs whom cater for the best players out there..
What i mean my friends, is that there is not much' fun in winning ,when when one never loses,'! .. I hope to start our first event soon, and the only promise i can make is that course set up will be fair and free and an added prize of 2000 credits will be up for grabs..by the way i will exempt myself from any prize money , if i happened to win any
i would accept , ideas for all sorts of fun events, such as CTTH using 1 club, 'flop of the month ' tournament [ flop shot i mean , ] surprise prize events, shot of the month event and more A Laughter Corner in our CC forum.hopefully i am not the joke of the month
There plenty of time to play events, especially unlimited ones.
i as a result of my disability have lots of spare time, but i am fully aware that many many of you folks do not, and i will take on board all suggestions and tips on how to make this club succeed...i worked it out that if the flappers has only lets say 6 or 8 members, we could play a weekly league event, members match play , ctth and putting events, one would have to have a spare 20 hours per week to complete all the above.
i know this because the 4 current members have tried it, found it great fun, except for me and kitty whom had to fork out the 1000 credit prize that we put up unofficially of course...i am still reading through all the dos and don'ts and what if folks.
I will also take any grievances you have with WGT right to the top. but I have to add however, that if one approaches them in a polite and correct manner they do respond , and in my case, have always been more than fair .
so finally I invite all of you out there, to come and join the Flappers, the olden goldies if you wish, and i will make sure that a warm welcome awaits all. stay safe and well folks
with kindest regards friends
