Seems like if I miss ding one click early, I loose a few yard, but if I miss one click late, I gain a few yards. Anyone else get this?
I've noted some similar observations about the difference (path and distance) between a pulled putt and a pushed putt (pre-ding & past ding).
I've questioned WGT in the forums of the physics of spin, or maybe the magnus effect, and wondered if they are programmed into the game.
Sometimes, I've seen a pre-ding putt's 'spin' stall out the ball quicker than a post-ding putt. That's what I meant by posting below*.
Sometimes, a drive 'hook' may travel different compared to a 'slice'. Then, they are different, more so, when the wind is reversed. (the same may apply to a putt, push or pulled, against the slope of a green - then, differently, again, when the slope is reversed!)
Never a dull moment, but simply put, I take note of the results of pre/post ding shots with/against the wind/slopes.

Further observations may suggest that a dive 'hook' against the crosswind (L-R) may increase yardage by the Magnus effect, and/or trajectory and aerodynamic lift, etc. , and I've seen in my my driver tests , and at other times, a hook go farther than a dinged shot.
Yet, when the ball is on the ground, the slope of the grass doesn't act on a ball the same as a ball in the air, no lift is involved, so contradictorily a pre-ding putt against..may be shorter. (I'm still testing)

The off-ding effects of a 'push' (past ding) against a slope R-to-L compared to an off-ding 'pull' (pre ding) against a slope L-to-R seem to be somewhat different so if you choose to apply the method be sure to observe the difference during trials.
