my cc has 35 members.  In the three cc clash events i have seen, the smallest country club had a membership of 75.  The other two were over 80 members.  This gives the opponent an advantage in that if a third of there members participate, (approximately 25-28%) they have almost as many members participating as we have in the club.

My question is... why do we get clubs that large.  Are there no other clubs at the 30-40 member range????

My club is at 35 and a 93 member is the lowest we've been matched with the others were 120+ .  they expect us small clubs to play that clash over & over for the time duration to have any chance like we don't have other things in life to do like Work, Eat; etc....

It's only another trick feature to pad their bottom line....the balls cost enough (they cost as much as real balls). I really don't have another penny to give them on this game.....and wouldn't buy the balls if the give-away balls didn't suck so bad!

Wooden Tee CC, which has 78 members is presently playing a CC with 3 members.

My club has just 1 member, but we get along great.

We (that is, I) tried out the first clash today just out of curiosity - will try most anything once, but don't expect to win any great glory.

I can see some rationale for providing incentives toward larger clubs, but it's not entirely persuasive.

I think setting up clashes where specific clubs agree to compete against one another makes more sense. Could use a format similar to the Ryder Cup. Then clubs could choose to compete against others of similar size etc.
