   I not sure what's going on here, but when I see scores of -10, 11, 12 I have to wonder just how these people score so low?  I have Taylor made clubs, Ping wedges, top of the line balls, Taylor Made Putter, and I've now have played EVERY day since mid aug.  It's now 10/26/10 and I suck. I can't improve my play for anything, no matter how much practice or how many games I play.  I have yet to shoot anything better than +1,  what a joke. I have decided that after spending  $30.00 dollars on this game, NOT A PENNY MORE FOR WGT,   time to go back to Tiger Woods 2010, it certainly much, much more fun.    If there is a person out there that has gone through this and has found a ligitament way to improve your game,   will you please respond to my post?

  Sure Teedoff.

  I was high 70's and thought much the same,then I decided to go all Gnnnarrrlie and not get beat by a computer which by definition can only respond to my input.I started inputting a little better right about when I discovered balls with spin.No one in all the group games I played thought to enlighten me,far from it,they laughed at my fancy balls with a wake that sailed off the edge of every green.Now they won't play me for fear of being beaten badly since my average dropped(and stayed) below theirs.I take that as a compliment.

  Sooo,what you need to do is re arrange how you think about the game,and don't let it beat you ever again,and if that means trashing some players who laugh at you,I say WAY TA GO lol.

  I hope you take this with a grain of salt, but it is going to take many more then 98 ranked rounds to become good at this game.  

  The scores are low because players take the time to learn everything.  They take both physical and mental notes and try not to repeat mistakes.   They know every hole, where to be and where not to be.    How much carry each of there clubs have, how much spin to apply or not to apply.  Some of these things just need to be learned and are done so by putting in hours and hours of gameplay.

    I noticed a post on your wall from a player willing to play with you and help you become a better player.  I would suggest that you take this players offer and pick their brain when you are dealing with any shot.

  Keep your head up there fella! Try not to be so discouraged. I took a peek at your stats and when you started playing. Your really not that far off from where you should be. Just because you bought new clubs doesn't mean that your automatically going to start shooting in the 60's. As stated in the above post's you have to learn the course. Yeah the clubs play a part. And you have to learn the clubs and what they can and can't do but, a bigger part of this game is learning the course. Now, you started playing on August 31, 2010. And you have played 98 ranked rounds. Ok. I started playing July 15, 2010 and have played 237 ranked rounds. And it isn't till just recently that I have my average in the high 60's. And it does and will fluctuate. Now yes I have master clubs and they help tremendously but it's my knowledge of the course's and knowing where I want to try and put every shot I take is how I carry that average. You just need to give it more time. I would bet that in about 75-100 more rounds or less your shooting in the 60's.

  And if I may I will offer up a suggestion that may help you bring that average down. This worked for me. What I did was play 10-20 9 hole rounds on one particular course till I knew every knook and cranny on those 9 holes. Then I would play the other 9 holes and learn those. First I started with the front 9 of Kiawah Island. Learned those holes. Then I moved to the back 9. Once I learned that I started playing 18 hole rounds. So on and so forth. Also play match play games. And try and play against the best player you can find. You don't even need to always ask questions. Just watch every shot that player takes. You can learn alot just by observing. These are some of the things that helped me and are still helping me. I still have ALOT to learn. And there are plenty of friendly people on this great game more than willing to help somebody out when they are struggling. Heck just the other day I was having a problem with a shot on Kiawah Island on the CTTH course and I posted my problem and I had a response from arguably one of the (if not the) best player on here and 2 other responses from extremely awesome players on here that know the game way better than I do. So if you ever run into a hole(s) that you just can't seem to get no matter what you try then post it and chances are somebody will post something that can help you.

  So keep at it and keep your head up and tell yourself that you will shoot under par this round. And if you ever want to play hit me up with a friend invite and shoot me a message and we can try to set up a time and I'll try to help you out and pass on some of the knowledge that was passed on to me from players that are waaaaaaay better than me!! Good luck to ya and hit them straight in the cup!!!

  Best way you'll improve your game, look at WGT mathematically, don't rely on your ability to judge how far you're going to shoot, whip out a calculator and make sure. I mean, sure you'll get deviations sometimes, but for the most part at least you'll be confident with distance and can concentrate on improving how you change your aim to deal with wind while driving and approaching, and the slope while putting.

  Essentially, control what you can control, and when the occasional speed bump comes your way, don't worry.

  I say keep the maths to the putting. As somebody mentioned earlier strokes, need feel and experience. So the best thing to do is learn holes inside out by playing the same 9 hole round over and over again. What I noticed is that CTTH also helps your game alot but sadly most players neglect match and CTTH games.

  You do not have to play every round as a RANKED round,  The Practice Rounds there for a reason, Practice every hole of every course till you know everything there is to know about that course then Practice some more.  Do this on every course,  Practice Bunker shots,  Out of the Rough and chipping, Dont forget the Flop shot and all the rest of the diffrent shots you can use,  and when your sick of Practicing, Practice some more. 

  Someone once said Practice makes perfect,  on this game its True.

  Work on your putting also.  That is the hardest part of the game (in my opinion).  You ave 23.5 putts per round.  Drop that down to the 19 putt mark and youll see the number fall also.  Keep your head up.

  On top of that you might want to work on how you play your drives and approaches, I didn't have a long look, but if you can improve on your driving accuracy of 70% up to around 78 - 80% that could also make a huge difference since you'd rather approach the green from the fairway rather than the rough/fescue/sand etc.
