This is the first time this has ever happened to me, I was just wondering if it's a new 'feature' of WGTs?

I hit a Par 3 into a tailwind with a shot that landed me 0yds and almost in the hole using max backspin it stopped on the dime!

Then the screen froze for a split second after the ball had stopped and after approx 1.5 secs later the ball miraculously appeared 5 yards above the hole!

Incredible! To be very clear this wasn't a miscalculation. The ball couldn't make that distance if I'd hit it at full power into the wind.

I would put it down to critical VEM say a freak bounce on the green or sudden drop in wind but the problem is that the ball actually stopped, disappeared and reappeared!!!???

I was playing Skins with 2 other players who witnessed this happened and whose reactions included "WTF", "WGT is so messed up" and "LMAO this game is pathetic".

Personally I prefer to take a more positive approach and assume that WGT will actually get around to dealing with these glitches and trying to improve the game...at some point...in the near distant future...once they've finished counting all the money they've made out of everyone.

I would sincerely like to know how this particular glitch occurred, as I said it's the first time it's ever happened to me and hope it's the last.

Flash can sometimes freeze. This can happen any time, in mid flight or on landing. The ball keeps traveling, you just don't see it. So if it freezes when the ball lands next to the cup, it can roll 5y without you seeing it. but when you unfreeze, you see where it actually stopped. If it happens again, check the replay and you'll see what happened. It'll all make sense.

thanks, I know about that. This definitely wasn't one of those moments. The ball had almost come to a dead stop, any movement would have been in inches not yards. This simply defied the laws of physics by travelling uphill by 5 yards after a dead stop par 3 shot that landed just below the hole. Unfortunately I only have eye witness accounts and not a replay to show but I appreciate the reply even if it's not what I was looking for.
