Jean, I do not like your chances, in fact, you have zero chance of getting a refund.
As for the meter, clear caches, ensure nothing else is running when you play or give us the specs of your system.
But as it is since the updates, I imagine clearing your caches will solve the problem.
Meter problems are invariably your end - what have you done to improve the meter?
Being in HK I would expect your system should be pretty good, otherwise go to Wan Chai, Mong Kok or Sham Shui Po to upgrade.
