ApexPC:If you buy credits - $1 will buy you 100 credits, so credits do indeed have an equivalent (=) cash value.
Nope.
For any money, you buy only the license to use this internal exchange device.
From the T&Cs:
By purchasing or obtaining WGT Credits, WGT is granting you a limited
license right to you to utilize certain features of our product and
service offering as allowed by WGT. WGT Credits do not have monetary or
stored value or any credit balance of real currency or its equivalent
and are not redeemable for money at any time.
The $$ => cr exchange rate is irreversible, otherwise they'd have to give you 100 $ for 10,000 cr. Do they? No.
At their discretion, some (but not all) users may receive real value back, but at a much lower rate, see the gift cards.
To me, the 100:1 display of career earnings in $$ appears plain wrong.
In the VT final thread, fmagnets made a big difference between winning real $$ at the Florida event and receiving a pile of credits in the current setting, worth only a few gift cards. This is the realistic view on this subject.
