All round i got a small scorecard with a x in the corner which was probably trying to show a bigger advert. Then a few holes from the end i did get an advert blocking the buttons and forcing me to close and re open my browser just to finish round.

Come on WGT trying to milk every single inch of this game with adverts is spoiling our enjouyment of a SMOOTH hassle free round.  When i spend $7 a pop on balls i don't need even more adverts forcing me to take de-tours just to finish my round.

I heard the Adds can't be blocked with Maxthon.    Is that true?

    No, Roger.

Maxthon has a built in AdHunter. It just needs to be activated by selecting Subscribe to AdHunter rules and selecting Enable AdHunter for this website.

Every one seems to be over looking one thing. I have never seen an ad from WGT in  a spot that blocked any thing. That seems like it is due an adbot and a ad blocker might not work on it. He may have to run something like spybot search and destroy to clean his machine of any spypot/adbots that might be on it.

Give me an example of the ad you're referring to, sting, please.

Most browsers have a "Do Not Track" feature under advanced settings. Check Here if you are unsure as to whether or not you have it activated. Keep in mind though, it may or may not help.

A good AV program will detect spybots and notify you because they fall under the category of worms.

Another option is to use the "Private Session" window when you do no want to be targeted for ads while browsing.

Forget about using Chrome if you don't want your internet activity tracked, it has Google Analytics which identifies your browsing activity and sends you targeted ads.
