Can anyone explain the scoring in Putting competitions.

I do understand it's the yardage from the hole. However my question is how can anyone achieve a score of 7 playing 9 holes ?

    Hope someone has an answer.

In the Putting CTTH, IIRC, it's the distance to the hole in feet.

7 ft over 9 holes means an average of .78 ft or 9.5 inches per hole. It's safe to say that there are guys who can play it, holing most of these shots.

Some also talk about "Zero" rounds in the CTTHs, apparently meaning to hole each shot (on various courses).

Thanks for that, in the round that I played the breaks were extreme and 1 hole 260 ft. with big breaks, I find it hard to believe that anyone can be within 10 inches on every hole. Having said that my putting is crap so I have a long way to go.
