    SpazBallBusters:

You know what - I'm glad you pointed that out

    I completely missed that.

I "requested" the Ghost 92 as a Santa gift.  I saw a got a Ghost putter and I never looked at the number beside of it.  SO since I got the Ghost putter; I just assumed it was the one I asked for (why would someone give you something different than what you ask for) - But beggars can't be choosers I guess.... not a biggie

But yeah,  I requested a set of irons; a couple sleeves of balls or that Ghost putter - just assumed I got one of the items I requested... LOL.

well maybe I can sell one of the putters I have now and buy a couple sleeves of balls??  Don't know much about the selling back to the club house since I never had anything "extra"

I printed out that form someone pointed out.  Wonder how much different it works on my level 35 than on a Level 92??  anyone have any idea what the differences would be??

explained ?? No too much of a gap from 64 to lvl 92.

So what did you get ?

then we can help you ?

But very nice of you not to know what you got !

Did you thank someone for gifting you ?

    Hope I am wrong here

Best holiday wishes to you and yours.

well this is my first year so I'm sill learning how stuff works.

generally I would figure you might get 'gifted' something you can't get for yourself... so that was why I was looking for the L92 putter

Yeah I got the L35 Ghost putter

Yes I did thank them for the gift (but yes I did thank them for what I THOUGHT I got)

Oh well... nobodys perfect I suppose  LOL

What I was curious about is if there is any (or much) difference between the L35 and L92 Ghost putter (as far as figuring distance with that chart)
I ASSUME the L92 putter would be more forgiving as far as 'misses'... but like I said.  I'm new here and still learning

Don't get to wrapped in it IMO.  Go to the shop and click compare and you will see forgiveness wise they are the same as far as the rating goes, but you get the slightly slower meter.  From memory the L35 allowed a bit more more missing (after basically aiming with the marker) to hold a line, but putting is a big topic and you should see the forums (or ask in your CC).

Off your tees you have very good equipment - v good.  I think something more than the starter rock ball would be more fun (see WGT cheap balls), but cost still.

Anyway that putter you have will only be helping you get to Legend.

Finally we can help you out.

Distance no, on that point you are right !

The distance will be much the same, so you are  Tp, you are on fast or very fast greens !

You need to look at the colour is it blue but still saying 0 up ! that is still up !

and that  is different from 0 red down, might be 1 down an inch after the hole.

you need to look a few feet past the hole too!

A good tip that most will give you is to add 2 !

if you have 15 foot putt and it is slight up, think of it as 16 , then always add 2 !!!

    so you will have a 18 foot putt and x0.85 = 15 feet !

if you are on fast greens then blast them at 1to 1 until U get a 20 footer then take 0.9

And you have the ghost ! that is 100% on your first scale !

and less on your other scales !

Someone already posted a great scale that you can look at for the ghost putters!

    Hope this helps

if any more questions? feel free to ask me on my wall, I am alway glad to help.

Thanks so much for the info guys.

This game has a lot of variables and there is tons of info you need to know to shoot great scores.

I did find the chart for the Ghost putter and printed it out.

Being very new (I say very new because I played a little when I first joined, but have been away for about 5 months) so I'm just re-learning everything.

I got some balls in my equipment; and used a couple of them - then decided I better play with the free rock a little more - Seems MOST of the balls I purchased ended up in the water  LOL

I did play a round yesterday with a purchased ball.  I shot my lowest score ever (66) and missed three very easy putts I SHOULD of made.  I am guessing the ball made a lot of difference.

Thanks again to everyone and I wish you all a Merry Christmas.

    siggipj76:
You are at lvl 64 ? And the thread says 92 ghost ?

I must be jaded,  after reading this, my very first thought was another multi posted with the wrong account lol.

    SpazBallBusters:
I just assumed it was the one I asked for (why would someone give you something different than what you ask for)

Because they were nice enough to give you the putter at a level that you were eligible for.  They could have just said, nope, can't do it, you're not the correct level yet, ask again in two years when you reach L92. I suppose. ;-)

***EDIT,,  just noticed that this thread wasn't as "active" as I thought.  I tend to read through the "active threads" with the mindset of "current" or "recent" threads.  :)

Nope I knew what I was asking for and where I was at.

In my experiences a "gift" is often something you need and /or can't get for yourself or any other way.  So logically I just assumed that's the way it'd work (after reading in the info from the head guy with the "hows this is going to work" info.  I might have missed it; but I didn't see where there were limits other than one gift per person.

SO that's how it came about...
