TaylorMade Ghost Spider Putter (L92+)

  I was lucky enough that Santa brought me a TaylorMade Ghost Spider Putter for Christmas.  I was very much looking forward to the extra forgiveness to help my putting.

  NOW I have a MAJOR issue and was curious if anyone else is having this problem.  The distance seems to be very inconsistent.  I can have a 30 ft putt on level ground, and if I hit about 95% of it; it goes just about exactly that distance.

  HOWEVER it seems the closer putt are a GUESS at best.  I had a 4 ft putt today; get it to hit 5 ft and it went less than TWO.  HUH???  These instances are all on lever ground so it doesn't have anything to do with up hill or down hill.

  Anyone else have this issue with this club;.. or can you tell me (or have a formula) of how this clubs works.  Currently I can putt 10 times better with my OLD putter than this new one.   I'm stumped and getting frustrated.  ANY help appreciated

  You are at lvl 64 ? And the thread says 92 ghost ?

  All new putters should be given time, they all behave a wee bit different from others.

  When I have upgraded a putter, it has taken me a few weeks to get it to understand me ! 

  perhaps the other way too !

  I think he might be talking about the low lvl spider ? 

  If so , you are on fast greens ? 

  be very aggresive on those ! hit them hard !

  Like I said I got it for a gift....

  I was putting OK with my putter, but saw this one had more forgiveness, etc.  I figured it should make it easier to make putts?

  Didnt think it was possible to be gifted something from a higher level than what you are on ..

  If that is now the case I need to chase up some mates who owe me a favour or two lol

  You know what - I'm glad you pointed that out

  I completely missed that.

  I "requested" the Ghost 92 as a Santa gift.  I saw a got a Ghost putter and I never looked at the number beside of it.  SO since I got the Ghost putter; I just assumed it was the one I asked for (why would someone give you something different than what you ask for) - But beggars can't be choosers I guess.... not a biggie

  But yeah,  I requested a set of irons; a couple sleeves of balls or that Ghost putter - just assumed I got one of the items I requested... LOL.

  well maybe I can sell one of the putters I have now and buy a couple sleeves of balls??  Don't know much about the selling back to the club house since I never had anything "extra"

  I printed out that form someone pointed out.  Wonder how much different it works on my level 35 than on a Level 92??  anyone have any idea what the differences would be??

  Level 35 = 800 resell = 200

  Level 92 =2400 resell = 600
