Very recent TL here. I'm kind of committed to unevens. They're a hoot - much better than the beginning but still flawed. Anyway, want to see a TL average go up? Just watch mine. It's going to be hilarious.

Why did WGT set a saturation point for Tour Legends? That's my question.

    YankeeJim:

There's also those red tee TLs that don't play ranked rounds from the back tees after they make TL to protect that false average.

As you know, we've had a few of these tourneys in our cc...first couple of times are fun just for chits and giggles, but it gets old fast and just makes you want to go back to the tips.

    Remember the Olde Days:

For Legends, it was 400 when it made no sense, risen by 100 to create a grind to TL, and now the latter have a senseless number, too.

You may call it tradition or take a guess that there must be a number in their database.

And, some are still waiting for the Super Legend tier to come ;->

    Ahem :)

The money list is for elite (super) IMO.

Most that want the new tier want only a sensible one, obtainable to many decent players, to solve exactly the issues identified in this thread, and more (real averages / rolling stats / pro shop open to no mans land  good TLs..........).

The red tee / Beth F9 unlimited play brigade can bang themselves to whatever "average" they want same as now.  Soon the top of the TL "average" list will be who has broken 50 yet again - ridiculous.  Many want something sensible..  Nothing against red tee players, just that it is a very different game to SP rolling averages from all the courses.  Fat chance of WGT doing anything I guess, until maybe one day competition forces a hand?  On that note I guess PP is still due out at Cmas, LOL.

total dinginess is not needed for a 56 avg.

I guess I have 40%  average ding, 70% at max on a good day.

What is needed is knowing how far each different club goes at a specific %. Shotpal needed.

Then you need to know windrules and behavior of the ball when landing on different slopes on the greens. And ball behavior face/headwind also compared with how much spin put on it.

With experience every shot under 100 yards is also a >90% chance of a succeding 1-putt.

    And puttingskill is needed.

My average is 57, truely it should be around 60,5.

With a true average under 62 you should be able to selffinance your WGT through Ready to go. Just avoid high stakes.
