is it just me, or does anyone else find that the ball acts very unrealistically around the greens, for instance when playing a chip from off the green, if u dont land the ball on the green on the first bounce, the ball stops dead!!!

i myself play real golf fairly regular, and know through experience that this is definately not true to form.

There is a reason why chip is only used within few yards of the green. For longer carry shots, use flop or pitch.  Chip generally flies 1/4th and runs 3/4th while pitch more 1/2 and 1/2 and flop 3/4th and 1/4th. Use that to your advantage.

Well I am in agreement, there is something wrong with the modelling of short shots, they seldom act simliarly to pitches, chips & flop shots do in my real world game and those of my playing partners. Today I had a flop shot from light rough, the pin was 22 yards away, I hit about a 95% shot, and pured it, with a club that says it goes 14yds on a flop, it RAN 22 Yards by... so a total of 44 yards - on a FLOP SHOT.. NEVER EVER, Not even when I played St. Andrews in 2k 4 days after the Open ended... So tell me how is this even close to reasonable?? I know the greens are fast, that is why I hit the shorter flop... but 44 yards - Not an chance in hell
