While playing St Andrews today my partner hit drive into ruff. I played safe and hit to other side of fairway. My ball landed on the fairway and rolled a bit. You could still see ball on fairway but WGT decided it was out of bounds. I find this very unfair i pay good money for my golf balls just to have them taken away when it shouldn't of been taken away. I don't mind losing a ball if i do hit it out of bounds but taking them when they are still on fairway is very unfair.

14   a lot of balls get lost there not really a bug just a nuisance  lil to far left and its off the mini map . have to hug the rough along the right hand side there in the future . think I heard of them giving one back once due to there not being any markers  .  could try to run it by customer service .     Customer Support.

STA 14 and 7 from the tee and some of their green edges on the far side...

There are a few fairways with an extra OOB line by WGT (e.g. OAK#4 far right from the tee). The reason is IMHO that there are no photos prepared from so far out.

As a rule of thumb, the mini map's boundaries roughly indicate them. Beware!

What sometimes happens is what WGT is able to show as the ball position on one of the photos for that course is not exactly the same as the position the software calculates.

We sometimes see that our ball is in the rough but the software says our ball is on the fairway. Or the other way around. It looks like our ball is on the fairway but the software says our ball is in the rough.

So it's not a bug, just an inherent part of the game.

    C'est la vie
