the answer is not too relevant for me, i couldn't even't "compete" w/ fancy balls! lol.

i think it "frazzles" me a bit to "loose" a ball for now.  I need to work on my short game more and get other things "under control".  When I start playing more consistently from the masters tees I will look into better balls again.  thanks.

    update:

another kind soul gifted me a nice pink sleeve of vapor balls, man these are sweet!

tried them out on Kiawah 9 hole unlimited tourny; birdied #10 (almost a never for me) and somehow got on the green from 260 on #16 for an 8 foot eagle.  A few more birdies would've made for an awesome round except I managed to squeeze in a few boogies for an acceptable -4.

so they must make a difference but at the price and my poor scrambling abilities I will not buy balls yet for my bag; plan to wait for my game to improve.  My next question is more specific to putting:  just curious if you all think the "fancy" balls will have better attributes on the putting green?

The way the ball reacts when hit will not be affected by the type of ball... but balls with feel will slow down your meter making it easier to hit the "ding".
