I am currently a level 65 with a 66.92 scoring average and I just got to master tier. I am trying to figure out what ball to go with, that is a reasonable price (under 1K coins). I have played around with the ProV1's, and the Slow meter Bridgehill ball. Also considering the Max slow meter ball. What are you guys using, all of you high level guys that arent playing stock WGT equipment ? Do you prioritize distance and spin or meter speed ? Thanks

At your tier, you should be able to score with the rock (starter ball).

I personally started using "advanced" balls only after reaching the Legend tier to counter firmer greens and longer holes.

Save up credits for later and get yourself better gears & balls around L90+ / Legend tier.

And last but not least, get rid of that useless hybrid and add a third wedge instead. Good luck!

i don't really consider myself high skill level. I guess I'm high game Level.  I don't map club/ ball combinations, so a priority for me is to use balls that seem right for me intuitively.  I just seem to have a better understanding of how some balls play than others.  Switching balls frequently tends to throw off my game, so if I'm using a certain ball i'll stick with it for a fairly long time.

My day to day most inexpensive ball is the L43 Callaway (250 credits).  I'll use that one if I'm trying to conserve or build up credits.  A strategy I've adopted is to pair a cheaper ball like the L43 with a more expensive ball that has the same Distance and Spin stats but a slower Meter.  I'll use the more expensive ball in things like Showdowns. The slower Meter helps my putting more than anything else. i don't know if they play exactly the same, but I match the L43 Callaway with the L52 Bridgestone (600 credits).  The other combination I use is the L80 TaylorMade (550 credits) and the L75 Bridgestone (925 credits).

The L57 Titleist (775 credits) is another ball that works well for me.

I don't think my skill level is high enough for me to get the most out of the really expensive balls, so these are the ones I tend to use (and whatever free ones I win or get given by WGT).

I agree with Simon about getting rid of the hybrid and using three wedges.  I think better clubs will help your game more than a better ball will. Don't buy any irons that aren't High Trajectory.  Consider the L59 irons, L75 irons, or L85 irons, depending on how long you want to wait. MAX Spin wedges or the 70's Level Vokey wedges, depending on how long you want to wait. L55, L74, or L85 driver, depending on how long you want to wait.

This is just my opinion, but from experience

L34 Callaway (450 credits) is a great ball for that Tier/Level.  Enough bite to hold the greens, not so much spin to distance ratio to get knocked around in the wind too much, and decent meter speed at 3.5.

L81 TM (550 credits) is a crowd favorite played by many higher level players.

L40 Titleist (675 credits) is a good choice, similar to the L34.  They are slightly better than the L34, but they are costlier.  The plus side is, this is the standard ball prize for Veteran Showdowns so if you like this ball you can defer the cost by placing high in those and pick up some freebies.

Another very good slow meter ball sub-1000 credits is the Max Slow Meter (600 credits).  Basically exactly the same ball as the L34 but with a 5 meter.

In the end, you just need to buy a sleeve or 2 of some balls that pique your fancy and see what works for you, and what you are comfortable spending on a recurring basis.  Different people have different preferences.  Some prefer slow meter speed over anything else, some want flat out distance, and some want an equal mix of both spin and distance.

I've played both of those and liked them but hadn't noticed they have some key matching stats.  I think I'll give those a more thorough try.

Yeah, they are very similar stat-wise.  I need a slower meter (like a 4.5 minimum) and a little more spin if I'm playing competitively, but still use the L34s every now and then for coin rooms or if I'm just goofing around.  Usually the Holiday balls they give away (Grim Reaper, Christmas Holiday) balls are just re-branded L34s so I have a decent stockpile of them build up.  Another benefit is if you use a 3.5 meter for a few games it makes the 5-6 meter balls seem like slow motion for a while when you switch back to them 😉.

I also think a ball with a little less spin to distance ratio is actually a good thing when first moving up Tiers and learning to deal with the higher side/head winds.  The 4 distance/2.5 spin of the L34 and Max Pro Slow Meter is a great ratio to not have the wind really knock the ball around as much.  (Just keep in mind you only get 2 durability on the Max balls vs. 2.5 on the Callys)
