  The more *ranked* rounds you play, and when your avg gets lower, and it will in time, you move up.

  To be precise, it's ranked strokeplay rounds, including tournaments, except for rounds on Par3 or Par5 courses.

  It's also necessary to keep the two major counting systems apart:

  1) scores and average and tiers => Skill driven progression, opening up more difficult play,

  2) XPs and levels => industry driven progression, opening the path to better and more expensive equipment in the Pro Shop.
