But, they are necessary for your proposal! O.k., enough of that.

As for the company, I don't expect any answer from the Hold-your-Tongue Tribe of Bay Area ;)

These days I don't think it would help anyway, those that want a low average can repeatedly play an easy 9 holes off short tees and in low wind.

Not my proposal (read original thread again).  I'm just asking WGT what happened to the OP proposal.

    Nice try though.

You didn't really think I was going to answer all your questions for you.... did you?

Basically whilst I understand your viewpoint, it will not happen.

No company in their right mind would penalise their customers by forcing them to do something they do not want to do.

It is like saying if you buy a Hugo Boss suit, unless your wear their shirt and ties, you cannot wear the suit.

People quit for many reasons, but you will drive customers away by having such a dictatorial stance.

False "averages" are held by the majority of players who have reached saturation - and finishing with a score of 120 will not make a difference.

False "averages" for players who have not reached saturation (via quitting on a bad round) stand out like a sore thumb when you play them, so they only are mocking their ego IMO.

But a question - playing in a tournament, I save to play later....say 10 days later (after it expires), so does this tournament just "hang" or do the programmers (cough cough) need to then write code to move this round out to a normal ranked round so the person can finish (and I can think of many other scenarios)? Basically there is no easy fix.

I quit very few rounds intentionally and yes I have just hit saturation so I will only go down from here.

I really don't want to buy golf balls in order to shoot the sub 60 rounds again.  But.......WGT forces me to.

And the answer to almost all of this is... Alanti hit the nail on the head ..... is that WGT programmers can't do this without totally screwing up this game.

If you could pause the game and switch your balls with the free ones, it might stand a chance of working

But when your playing the free weekly/monthly tournies and the leaders have birdied every hole and you have just parred  the 1st 5, i dont see the point in continuing only to finish way down the leader board and out of the money, especially with the price of the balls

If i was forced to finish the game using the $5-7 balls and couldnt play anything else until i had finished i wouldnt bother coming back.

One solution would be for WGT to let us save up to five games at any state of play and continue playing those when we are ready.  But, again, this requires programmers that know what they are doing and from what I read here, WGT just don't have them.

    Oh well...
