I am a paying customer. Your advertisements between holes are 1) distracting; 2) time delaying and 3) momentum stopping. Please find a better way to male a buck.

    I'm a paying customer, too .... occasionally. I don't get you, though

    1) distracting - i can sort of see that, it's something new .... give it a week or so and it won't be nearly as noticable.

    2)  time delaying-  hardly so. What's it take? .. an extra second or so, not a big deal. Might be longer of you have dial -up, but who has dial-up anymore?

    3) momentum stopping - HUH???

I just don't get some people ... WGT gave us a pretty awesome update IMO.... alt-shot, concede hole & concede putt buttons that have been asked for for months, tournaments on Oakmont ( all reasonably bug-free so far).

Yet I've seen a half dozen threads with people griping about the ads ... unappealing? Yes, but they have no affect on the game itself whatsoever.

Not to mention--these ads are slowing down performance of computer--drag on flash and cookies added--yep-everything is moving slower!!!

The flash lag is out of control today. I'm thinking it's a high volume of players though. I'm sure WGT knows that every-time they add something to the game, the flash resources are gobbled-up. Adware kills!

It's not so much the ad as much as the way the page jumps when the page loads.

I don't really mind ads in free games because I acknowledge the company needs to pay their bills, but I have to question the placement of the new ads.  Prior to this update you'd periodically see ads in a small box in the center of the window between shots.  The new banner ads shift the frame lower which is distracting to say the least.  If they could rework the ads to run the same way their product ads run, they wouldn't be such a distraction.

Out of four attempts to play a round tonite, I just got a game hung up "LOADING" for the third &^$&^ time... I'd rather see you up the charges than make the game unplayable.

Why is it every time someone comes up with something decent, they have to improve it right out of existence... someone at WGT needs a good SLAP!

I agree the ads are distracting, put them on the menu page not when someone is trying to make a shot.

I'm also a paying customer, and my wife just told me shes not playing anymore because of the ads.

The program freezes a lot in stroke play because of the number of players.

I also like the alternate game.

Perhaps you don't play in the multi player mode, but it's NOT a matter of a few seconds... I attempted to play 4 rounds this evening... I only got to finish ONE... in the other 3, we played some number of holes and the game went into "LOADING" mode and never came out... we had to disconnect to get back control of our computers... THAT IS NOT AN IMPROVEMENT!!!

I agree they added some nice features and I applaud them for that, but what good are the improvements if they keep the rest of the game from working? These loading issues have been ongoing and this new change has made them terribly worse...

It's a great game, I agree, but if I can't complete a game, I won't be coming around so often... and when WGT has to negotiate new rates based on a substantially smaller user base, what good will the ads have done then?

I've been playing online games since 1992 and and I've seen them improve things till they don't function, time and time again... you can sit back and watch it happen, or you can speak up and try to get them to preserve the game... I choose the latter.
