Raise your hand if you buy that load of nonsense...

The post I copied that from beseeches us to help them fix their server issues by reporting problems.  I've been reporting problems to these guys for three years and not once have I ever received a response, nor has any of these problems been fixed save ONE, and that took two years for them to fix...  I think it must have been by accident.

In looking  through the posts by people asking for support, I see so many pleas that go unanswered it's ridiculous.  I'd also like to point out that WGT's policies, as so many of you know, are completely arbitrary and show little or no regard for long standing members.  Let me give you an example...

About two months ago, one of the changes WGT made to the game physics was to reduce the amount of spin that players got out of deeper lies - 30-40% and deeper - in order to, as they claimed help newer players and to provide a more realistic game experience.  ALL OF THIS DESPITE THE FACT THAT THEY HAD TOUTED AND SOLD BALLS AND EQUIPMENT WHOSE BENEFITS INCLUDED BEING ABLE TO CONTROL THE BALL BETTER OUT OF PRECISELY THESE TYPES OF LIES.  I don't know about you, gentle reader, but that sounds like WGT doesn't give a hoot about making their game better.  Only making more money even at the expense of shitting on players who have been loyal and spent money on their site for years.  And that's just one example.

WGT, if you want me to believe that you are interested in making the game better, why don't start by addressing the game logic's ability to synchronize player screens to that meter issues are minimized?  Before you claim there is not issue, or say that you'll look into it (frankly even getting any response of any kind would surprise me), let me tell you why you don't and won't -- it causes players to lose balls which they then have to pay to replace.

Here's a recent problem:  the server says "one hit left on ball", then you get the new ball, and it immediately draws the new ball down to one hit.

Here's another:  you made a ton of players "yellow" overnight a little over a week ago, with no explanation and apparently no fix.  Of course, we all had to play the crap out of the game, wasting hits on balls, to get back to green.  I guess the problem is us for being stupid enough to remain loyal.

At any rate, the meter has been recently much worse, if that's even possible, than ever.  It has cost me two new balls in the last few rounds (isn't it just UNCANNY how the meter knows exactly how to jump or hang to put that brand new ball in the drink?  hmm....).

Get back to me if you have anything other than flat denials which, experienced players all know very well, are simply lies.

I agree with you on the 1st 2 paragraphs, cause their disregard for most of our complaints and issues can be off the chart, but from then on...

That (for me) is a bad example. I for one kind of like that an iron shot from 30-40 rough can no longer stop dead from 160 yards away. Makes the game just a tad more realistic and makes you pay a little more attention.

The part I bolded makes no sense at all. Not sure how many buy better balls mainly because their stopping ability from the rough, cause that's a very small part of the game. To be honest, if you must take more than 3 or 4 shots from the rough in an 18 hole round, you're wasting money on good balls anyway.

I'm no IT expert, but I think much of the problem lies in how flash reacts with your OS. Win 8 (partly W7 and Vista as well) is awful for a smooth meter and for timely clicks, it usually stops a day after you click the mouse. That's why so many people need to jump through hoops (settings, different browsers, etc.) to get it to work properly. On the other hand, if you try to play on W XP on any old cluttered PC, you'll find that the meter is mostly smooth as silk. I've played on numerous machines in my time here and only the ones with XP were decent (without tweaks) to play on.

Well, if that is true, it's terrible. However, this is the 1st I've ever hear someone say that, nor did I ever experienced it myself (burned through 21 balls since they released this new message). And until I see this issue documented (recording, screenshot, etc.) and until I get a confirmation of your sobriety and memory capability) at that time, I'm not sure I can believe that.

But again, I agree with you on the first part of your post.

    Obviously false.

Just clarifying from your post MK..

What the OP is seeing is this..

Say 2 balls in inventory and the "one hit left" pops up.

OP buys a sleeve and now has 5 balls in inventory, including the one with one hit left, in some instances the "one hit left" will pop up again.

But at that particular time, the OP will still have 5 balls, until he hit's it, then will have 4 balls left.

No one is losing a ball(s) in this instance.

    I'd agree.

I suppose if your second last hit is an approach it will pop-up at the putt(s) and then again next drive.  But yes, the same ball.

I think if this new feature was taking balls it would have been mentioned before now, probably once or twice and fairly loudly.

I think there are a few words missing from the original quote. It should read, "WGT is totally dedicated to making the game better and more financially rewarding for the owners".

Doesn't stop you from padding their coffers. Can't be that much of a problem.

$20 in  3 years won't make them rich.

True C, but since you don't play RG's, and most likely no MPC's, etc, we'ed have to assume you spend time doing the survey/video thing to keep from digging into your pocket.

    Right?

I'm sure you realize WGT is benefiting from everyone watching a video, or doing a survey
