Spartans cc would welcome you into club, but must be active in club competitions and forum. We had over 30 members but the club has been cut down to 18 at present.

The reason is that all 18 remaining use the forum to enter our many comps ran from there and also use the forum to chat, which is imperative to the club

Forum is easy to navigate, i have threads on there which lead you to any subject including the club handicap (i alter it every week), a tips thread and a thread for posting your best or unluckiest shots, plus there is the clubhouse thread for general discussions.

I dont want a club where you look at a large membership but only a handful play, and if you feel that way to then friend request me and i will discuss further.

We have some great low level members who are working their way up well but now because of issues recently in club i would like only requests from TPs above. who have been playing no less than 4 months, to show game is not just a passing phase.

    Thanks

Nice to see a club with scruples.  WGT installed the XP dream chase and can safely bet many clubs turn a blind eye.

All I would say is that in my time at WGT (now been in just 3 CCs) I have got a gem or three trying to look holistically at the player on an individual basis.  No method is ever perfect, and fully see why you have made your decision.  I do think though leaving the door even more carefully open to below might be a benefit to you in the long run, and not all are M/As.

No perfect way of course, and good luck whatever method you use.  I have seen some with completely off the wall paranoia Salem witch hunt every one is a multi, some just turn blind eyes in the XP chase WGT created and some impose sensible mechanical barriers like you.  We try and take a more individual approach, but no doubt there will be mistakes.  We are not mugs and M/As out soon enough usually IF they get through.  I try and impose a civil standard test as opposed to the burden of proof being being beyond death row that they are genuine when letting people in, and over time (couple of CCs I helped in) am convinced we got a couple of Gems to develop going that route..........

Just saying as respect your club and know how hard it is getting good ones, and whilst respecting your stance do think you might miss out sometimes doing it as dogmatically as that.  Time factor really going in to each application can be a big factor too though for clubs not just piling them in for XP.

Cheers for that Jim and for PM. Just over two month ago the club started and we have some members who came with me then, who used forum to banter and to enter the comps from there, not just turn on...go to club comps...play and so on. These good members actually went into forum, seen my adjusted tables (handicaps) and had a few comments amongst each other, and congratulated any winners etc etc. They are still here and have moved up from Ps/Tps to Masters etc.

We have done really well but some have came and not really took to it, and worse of late.

To be honest small active club was always my wish from first adverts i did, and thats what we have, but your right there is some great honest lower than TPS out there, its just a way of expressing that our club is as clean as can be, and at level 6, i see no reason to XP hunt for the sake of it

Cheers Jim and you just keep kicking up that Red Dirt lol
