11BC - You have (27) in parenthesis, are you referring to the RTX wedges? I only have enough right now to either buy one RTX or I can buy (2) CG16 wedges. If so, which one and which degree?

I could also try and save up a little more as I only have 995 credits currently. Thoughts?

I really want a new iron set, I think the RocketBallz at 1400 seems within reach.

Wedges are priority for me at this point though.

He meant the RTX's...but I woulds seriously consider the 2 CG's instead.  Look at your yardages for your PW, SW and Lob Wedges you currently use  and see what will fit in the best yardage wise.  I waited until I got to lvl 39 or so and bought the ATV's.   Not as much spin as Cleveland's, but a lot less cost.

Best would wait and hope there will be a free rental weekend.  Or rent 2 different brands and compare them in a practice round using starter balls on approach shots if you can afford to do that.

So the question is: CG16's or 588's? It looks as though the only difference in comparison is a slight distance for each club, slight meter variance, and slight overall performance. Everything is much better than the stock wedges.

The Clevelands are a high trajectory club.  Makes for softer landing and better stick.  I would advise renting the CG16 64* wedge for 1 day.  Cost about 75 credits.

Buy a sleeve of WGT B-ES balls for 10 credits/sleeve.  They have 1 dot of spin.  Set up a practice round on a course with LOW WIND to map the club.  I use Kiawah #1 or #2.  Play and try to get the ball to about 50 yds from the hole, and  on the fairway.  Then make repeated shots using the MULLIGAN BUTTON, at full b/s, 3/4 b/s, center spin, 3/4 top spin and full top spin.

Record if ding/no ding and miss L/R.  Record ball flight distance, and total distance of each shot.  Do this for 50 - 100% power levels at all spin settings.  This will tell you what the club will do with that cheap ball.  Performance will be better with a good ball, with more dots of spin.

You should map every type of shot eventually.  But you'll be most interested in full shots at first.  For other shots you have to change your distance to the pin, so the ball always lands on the green.  Recor wind MPH and direction also.  Hang on to that chart for shot planning if you buy the club.

You might find that at your current level, the CG16 works fine and you don't need to spend the extra money for the 588's.  As you said, you can get 2 CG's for the cost of 1 588.

    Good Luck
