is it possible for wgt to release a CC feature that allows us to pick the pin that we want so we can make the holes a little bit longer or shorter by picking the front pin or the back pin etc

if we set a tournament with low wind we could use the back pins or high wind we could pick the front pins

i cant remember if this was discussed before but im sure it will do no harm bringing it up again

choosing hard pins or easy is not so great as you get the same pins when playing a multi round tournament in CC's quite often, we dont get the variety that we want

we need help wgt when selecting pins, now that we can choose tee boxes for each hole we need to know what pin we are getting so we know how difficult the setup will be, if i set the tee box for a back pin i would like to know i am getting that pin.

how about put all the front pins/pins closest to the fairway in the easy pin placement and all the back pins/pins further away from the fairway in the hard pin placement?

we need some sort of solution to this, i thought there was a solution that was going to be released at the start of the year?

you would think it would be a simple task

The trouble with that one Marty, is that the front pins or pins closest to the fairway are not always the easier pins, especially for those people that aren't using the higher trajectory, higher spin, higher level equipment ...

Bethpage 1,2,3,4,7,11,12, and 13 come to mind right off the bat ...

But I agree, it would be nice to be able to set individual pin locations on every hole for a CC tournament. If they tried to do this, would there be a bug in which there would be no pins on some hole? Or two pin locations at one time? Maybe a third unreleased pin position would show up without the camera views ...

    Horrors ...

i just want to know what pins im getting so when i plan the yardages for each hole i can make some holes tougher than others, any solution would be great, i dont care what it is, the pins need put in some sort of set that we know what we are getting

when they made wgt they should have just made set 1 - set 4 and we choose which set of pins.

let us know what the easy/hard pins are going to be for each wind set for each course

in theory it should be simple for them to do it

eg, i select low wind and hard pin for merion hole 9 and i get the back pin 210yds (this is what pin i got yesterday), what happens if i select moderate wind will i get the same pin? as if i get the front pin its going to be around 25yds shorter in length

Different pin settings produce random, sometimes equal results. To me, this is one of the non-functional features.

its pretty rubbish, they should have done it right from the start and made it set 1, set 2 etc
